The Local Beat (tourism from the locals)
Experience Goa, like a local
Forget the Goa you know from social media feeds and tales spun by decades of tourist-trap tourism. Say hello to a world inhabited by old woods & even older folktales. Walk through fairy tales fed by gushing brooks & the incandescent largesse of the Western Ghats. Gorge on the generosity of local guardians who are museums of knowledge, have a deep empathy for the land they live in and a charm few people have been touched by.
They know the tides, the distances, the calls of the local fauna, the flavors of local spices, the history of the land that they call home and most importantly are guardians of the culture that they have very graciously allowed you into.
With their permission we welcome you to their homes, curated with great effort and discretion.
We hope that you too will show the same respect for the generosity of your hosts. This is an invitation to stay in places that are tucked away, to swim in waters no visitor has ever tasted, to taste foods no chef has knowledge of, to dance to songs never indulged, to learn local crafts that you haven’t imagined and to hear stories the internet will never tell you.

The No Promises tour
To pick you up from where you live or meet you at a pre-designated spot is all we can promise you. Yes, there is a pristine spot by a calm bend on the river, where a pool waits for you to swim in it. But we can’t promise if you will get there. Yes, there is a picnic hamper we will carry along but can’t promise if you will open and savour it at the picnic spot.
Yes, there is a sumptuous lunch, made by locals with local ingredients waiting for you but can’t promise if you will keep your date with it. Yes, we will be accompanied by experienced mechanics and experienced drivers but still won’t promise if the journey will always reach its destination.
This is an exploration into Goa’s Monsoon Wonderland, deep into its hills and forests, into long kept secrets and pools never swum by outsiders. Here, gurgling rivulets you can cross by foot turn into raging torrents in a matter of hours. We make no promises except for a day or two filled with adventure and discovery.
